A great opportunity for an Applications Packager to join our End User Engineering team. Application Packager An opportunity exists for an Applications Packager to join our End User Engineering team. You will be working with a large customer and will be required to perform technical analysis and discovery of applications through client and SME consultation and then to package and test applications into AppV and MSI format for delivery into the customer environment. Responsibilities - Assess, plan, design and implement Packaging solutions - Understanding of the end to end application packaging and delivery lifecycle - Packaging of applications into AppV and MSI format for integration into software delivery systems - Discovery and analysis of applications - Technically document installation routines and configuration required to validate functionality of an application including performing sociability testing - Integration and Integration Testing of packaged application - Adhere to Standards, Guidelines, Quality Assurance - Update packaging documentation and workflow per Package - Complete time recording processes for work performed as required Experience/Qualifications - 4+ years of packaging software into MSI format - 3+ years of Virtualisation packaging - Advanced skills in App-V - A good understanding of AppDNA Profiler is advantageous - Prior migration experience in Citrix and XenApp Environments is advantageous - Strong understand of the Windows Server 2003/2008 Operating system - Excellent analytical skills and be able to extract technical information and produce them into deployable and working application packages - 4+years exposure integration applications into enterprise deployment mechanisms - Complete understanding of application packaging and deployment methodologies using Windows Installer technology and AppV - Strong, in depth and proven understanding of Windows 7, 8.1 - Strong understand of Scripting technologies such as PowerShell and VB Script - Strong troubleshooting skills within an End User Services and application environment - Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high demand environment - Professional technical documentation skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills Location: Macquarie Park, Sydney Duration: 3 months Start Date: ASAP PLEASE NOTE: You must be already living in NSW and have full working right.
