Application Packager (CND-CAN_PA102614) Canberra CBD, Canberra, Australia

Our client, a large global IT orgnisation is seeking several Application Packages to join their team on a contract or permanent basis in Canberra.

Successful applicants will be responsible for undertaking the following:

• Package applications in a timely manner for deployment to a Windows 7 and Windows 10 platform.
• Provide level 2 and level 3 support.
• Investigate technical problems assigned to the Application Team and engage other SME's to assist in addressing such problems.
• Review all associated packaged application and scripting documentation.
• Participate in the continual improvement cycle by delivering improvements to processes and technologies used by the Application Packaging team.

Candidates will have demonstrated commercial experience in the following:

• Highly developed knowledge of:

• Packaging Software into MSI format.
• Modern application sequencing technologies such as App-V.
• Microsoft PowerShell and / or visual basic scripting technologies.
• Application white listing.
• Device control technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of:
• Microsoft Development Toolkit technologies.
• Thick and Thin client Operating System Deployment.
• Microsoft Windows Management Instrumentation.
  • Sound understanding of ITIL best practice and ISO Quality Standards and/or ITIL v3 Foundation certified.
  • Experience in deploying software packages and OS images.
  • Ability to manage customer and stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Proven track record of Application Packaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.

 To be considered for these roles candidates must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV1 Security Clearance.
