2+ Yrs of working experience in the field of Application Repackaging – Windows Installer, Admin Studio, Wise Packaging Studio, Application Virtualization. Good understanding and exposure on Packaging process like Analyzing the client build, Technical review, Scripting, Testing, Validation, Conflict management, User Acceptance testing, Customization using scripting, Microsoft best practices for packaging. Good knowledge of the Windows registry, file system, file and folder security and general OS troubleshooting skills. Good understanding of the virtual environments (VMware workstation/VDI/Citrix TS etc).

Tools and Technologies:

Packaging tools: Admin Studio 2013, Wise package studio

Application virtualization tools: AppV 4.6/5, ThinApp 5

Tools: Orca, Picture Taker, Filemon, Regmon, procmon, dependency walker, Installrite

Operation Systems: Windows XP/7/8

Scripting Tools: VBScripting, Batch scripting, Powershell

Basic knowledge of the deployment tools like SCCM, Altiris, Landesk

Role Description:

•                    Validate packaging requirements; work with the app owner to resolve any issues with the requirements.

•                    Determine complexity

•                    Performing technical/application assessment of all software’s before packaging. This assessment involves end to end validation of the legacy software on target platform before undergoing actual packaging.

•                    Troubleshooting and resolving complex and escalated Application issues.

•                    Performing Quality Analysis/ peer review

•                    Handling technical queries with clients as well as with internal team.

•                    Customizing the complex applications as per requirement.

•                    Mentoring/training new team members.

Communication & Documentation:-

Excellent communication (Written & Verbal), customer handling skills & Documentation skills
