Vodafone Shared Services India is looking for potential candidates with 5-8 Year of work experience with following skills.

Role Description

Application Publishing and Provisioning on XenApp Citrix servers, Application Compatibility and Assessment. Should have working experience on Citrix Packaging using MSI, and/or VMware ThinAPP Enterprise Edition 4.7/5.0.

Working under the guidance of a delivery lead within the Citrix application provisioning team, you will own a number of individual pieces of user and application demand, and perform an in depth technical assessment for each customer demand

Key Accountabilities

• As customer demand is accepted by the service; you will perform application discovery on the required applications new to the Citrix estate, identifying application prerequisites and other dependencies.

• Identify the most effective manner for local and remote user access to an application or desktop farm

• Identifying the necessary dependencies (user account management, firewall change requests etc)

• Identify all connectivity requirements for applications and produce a detailed communications matrix

• Perform capacity management impact assessments and identify any infrastructure requirements

• Identify any application license requirements

• Building Proof of Concept environments for complex deliveries

• Scoping of the demand, communicating and engaging clearly with the customer and progressing a demand into the production environment

• To contribute ideas as part of a culture of continuous improvement, identifying ways in which processes can be made more efficient

• Bringing in CI’s and identifying improvements to service is expected from the role

• Working under the guidance of a delivery lead within the Citrix Provisioning and Management team. Documentation and preparation of SOP’s

Primary Skills

Windows OS and Citrix XenApp

Must to Have:

• Well versed with latest technology trends and willingness to embrace and learn technology

• Sound knowledge on VMware ThinAPP, Citrix P.S 4.0, 4.5, XenApp 6.5 and Migration

• Hands on with packaging tools  like App DNA, Wise, Install Shield,,  MSI Package development, ThinApp application Packaging for creating NEW/ Upgrade version of software packages

Experience

• Experience of application discovery in both Citrix XenApp and desktop environments

• Experience of producing technical documentation to a high standard,

• Experience of installing/tuning applications in a Microsoft Windows environment,

• Experience of working within an architecture-led environment

Educational Qualifications

B.Tech/ BE/ MCA/BCA
